It has decent flight characteristics with all the usual flat spins, knife edge (man it's good at knife edge), inverted with minimal input! but with the odd tip stall every now and then. Static thrust is at about 70 odd amps with the stock prop, considering it comes with a 60amp ESC this seems a bit stupid. One of the more easier planes to assemble out of the box, for some reason people complain about the spinner but it hasn't been a problem with me. Not a bad plane, but not without problemsīought one solely based on Michael wargos flight video and the paint scheme! Rcgroups electric warbirds full#It glides surprisingly well and allows from easy and relaxed to full 3D. So, 4S, 4A batteries and ~$30 extra to replace the landing gear (carbon fiber 130x355x150x30mm), wheels (3.5in x 1in), drop the wheel pants and replace tail wheel springs (homemade) and you have a very nice plane for tall grass fields. Once the aluminum landing gear is bent you can easily bend it back to the original shape, but its strength is significantly reduced and keeps bending even is good landings in grass. Landing gear and wheel pants lasted only one "not-so-rough :-) " landing in 2 inch grass. Motor came loose after ~10 flights and all screws were completely loose. Remove all screws, motor and motor mount and apply threadlocker. Good steering on the ground and almost no load to the rudder servo under full deflection. I replaced them with springs made with 16mil piano wire ~5mm diameter. Tail wheel springs are too stiff and load the rudder. I do not know if people flying it with 3300mA batteries are adding extra weight for balancing but in mine it would be required.įlying time with 4A, 4S is over 13 minutes in relaxed circuits and 8 minutes in more aggressive flying (not hovering). Good and fun plane, but some improvements would be niceīalance is neutral with a 4000 mA, 4S battery almost touching the firewall.
